We Were Featured in the Etsy Treasury

Yay, I'm so thrilled that someone thought enough of our earrings to feature them in an Etsy Treasury. What is a treasury? Well, usually it's a theme or collage of shops wherein Etsy members feature the work of other members. Here's a screenshot of the treasury. Our earrings are in the bottom right corner. I've always wondered how someone would know whether they have been featured, since there is no type of formal notification. Fortunately, Maia from Maiaart , was considerate enough to send me a convo to let me know that our shop was being featured. Thanks, again, Maia, for taking the time to let us know. Thanks so much for those of you who took the time to take a look at our freebies. They went to some fellow etsyans so thanks for giving our jewelry a good home:)

Only a few more days til our ho'ike. We are busy making ti leaf leis and will try to post a picture of how it is made. There are five pieces - one for the head, wrists, and ankles. It's a lot of work but I can't complain as we only have one set to make. There are a few families that have 3-4 children so 5 pieces versus 20 pieces is little in comparison.

Free jewelry / Pay it Forward (PIF)

I think that it's time for a freebie soon. I was thinking of doing a PIF (pay it forward -an act of kindness to some stranger, who, in turn, reciprocates with another stranger) but giving jewelry away is not really a random act but something more intentional. A random act IMHO is more like opening the door for someone or picking up something that someone dropped. And also, I believe that a gift should not have any attachments as with a PIF. So, stay tuned for something like this in the future either on our website or etsy shop. Anyways, if you're looking for eye candy, here are some vintage beaded earrings that are a little different than what we usually make.

Dog and family

Oops sorry for the long absence. It's the weather, the weather I tell you:) It has been beautiful here in So Cal the past week. So, we (dog included) have taken some nice long strolls around the park. She (dog) really enjoys a family outing and sometimes she's even better behaved than the kids :)

There is some strange flu bug that's circling our family. And I am such a neuro about washing our hands. Oh well, hopefully, it will go away soon. Consequently, not too many new pieces from me. Here are two just in case your interested.

More Girl Scout Cookies Please!!!

It is a very special time of year for us -Girl Scout Cookies are here:). We have been very good so far- and have only purchased 2 boxes of Samoas and 1 box of Do-si-dos. Unfortunately, that was all the cash we had on hand. Alas, on the ride home (from purchasing them) one box was already gone and the rest were consumed by the next day. Those kids of mine:) I... must ...have ...must... have... more... cooooookies!!!!!! They are so addicting to us that in previous years, we have been known to consume around 15 boxes. Poor hubby, he probably gets to eat one box to himself:)

Anywayz, here is something new from us- oxidized sterling silver w/ black and red swarovskis. As soon as we think of a name for them, they'll be up on our website and etsy.com.

Something Funny and Something Pretty

Here's some new earrings from us today. Something purple and turquoise in one of our favorite color combinations. For some reason, it took forevers trying to download the pics from the camera program to photoshop. Maybe if I tried doing things when I'm not half asleep it would've been much easier - ya think?!!!!
